"Home Movies," Parts 1 and 2
Notes:
- Joanie sends home movies of the Summer of '62 to Richie. This means that somehow only three years have passed since Richie graduated from high school. I'm not even clear if Joanie is done with high school, since Chachi says it'll be hard seeing her "at school."
- Lori Beth is in her fourth month of pregnancy on the Fourth of July and looking pregnant by Labor Day (no pun intended). The wedding episode aired on May 5th, but maybe it was set in March? Still, why didn't she tell the Cunninghams sooner?
- The song "Wipe Out" is on the soundtrack, and it was released in January '63, so that's not too anachronistic.
- I won't address the sports stuff as usual, and leave that for others to determine whether it's timely.
- Joanie's first word was "hardware," unbelievably enough.
- Potsie gets a summer job at the hardware store and Howard actually lets him stay on to help pay for grad school.
- Potsie has a date whom seems merely there to be sung to, but Roger's romance with the aspiring Olympic athlete isn't much more developed.
- Al's mother (who doesn't look as much like Molinaro as the picture in his apartment) nags him about getting married, and other things.
- Although Jenny and Eugene were dating last season, she is disappointed that he's the one who "rescues" her from the lake.
- Yes, Candace Silvers, who plays Carla Bee, is Cathy's sister. She'd be back in the role in '83.
- Teddi Siddall, who was Lucille Scarabatza before, is Fonzie's old girlfriend from the Falcons, Hillary, a role she'd reprise.
- Alice Nunn was Mrs. Stewart back in '74 and is Mama Delvecchio here. In real life, she was eight years younger than Al Molinaro.
- This time Derrel Maury is Johnny Suede, from the rival gang (the Warriors I think).
- And this time, Ken Lerner is Rocco Baruffi, as he would be again.
- Heidi Bohay was Margaret before and is Terry here.
